All manuals we offer are available by PDF Download or Printed Hard Copy. For PDF orders we'll email you a 'Download Link' after the order is verified by Paypal and us. We send out the Download Links everyday from 9am to 9pm. Everyday of the Week, Month and Year! All orders received after 9pm will be sent out at 9am the next morning. The Download link is good for 5 downloads or 7 days. Whichever comes first. Sorry no refunds, returns or exchanges after you complete the download. Please make sure you ordered the right manual before you download it. Our policy is very fair and simple. If we make a mistake and send you the wrong manual, we'll gladly send you the correct manual ASAP, free of charge! Just contact us by email and we'll make it right! But if we send you what 'You' ordered, then it's not our mistake, and we won't send anything else for that order.
Please keep in mind that our PDF's are set-up for printing a manual. Some pages might be horizontal and some vertical and some with alternating pages, depending on the original manual. Yes you can view every PDF manual and every page, but some manuals will require you to click and turn a page to view it. With Adobe it's very ease to do. Almost all of our PDFs were made by us and they are scans of the actual manual. We scan each page one at a time and then clean and trim the page to get a good looking Pic to insert into the PDF. All Printed Hard Copy orders are 'Laser Printed' copies from the same PDF's we sell. All manuals are printed on regular size 8 1/2 by 11 paper with heavier cover stock being used for the front and back cover. And staple bound. All Printed hard copies are Shipped within 48 hours by first class mail with tracking/delivery confirmation. Manuals over 100 pages or orders with multiple manuals will automatically get upgraded to priority mail because of the weight. Homemaker Sewing Machine Fy2300 Manual
This catalogue largely reflects the output of Singer's factories in Elizabethport, Bridgeport (USA) and Clydebank (UK). Some German and Canadian models are included and, from later years, a few from Japan, Italy, France and Brazil. The rule of thumb is: a 'K' between the class number and variety (or sub model) number, e.g. 29k58, indicates Clydebank; a 'W' (e.g.12w1) is Bridgeport; 'A' is Anderson; 'J' is St. Johns, Canada; 'M' is Italy; 'G' is Germany; 'C' is Brazil; 'U' is Japan, etc. Just a hyphen was used by the flagship factory in Elizabethport. This is almost always reliable but there are anomalies. Often, machines with the same class and variety, but produced in different factories, are identical - but not always. I've duplicated the information, however, where differences might occur. They are in number order first, then by factory order alphabetically.
Not all the class numbers are unique. There is no similarity, for example, between the model 12k and the model 12w. Singer inherited the W numbers from Wheeler and Wilson - maybe it had already established a strong customer base used to W&W numbering - anyway, the numbers were preserved (along with many of W&W's unique design features). Occasionally there will be a domestic that apparently has the same number as another industrial model; I have no idea why. The numbering is loosely chronological; they started around No.1 and sort of worked their way up.
Abbreviations should be obvious and will include:
SDA = Singer Driving Attachment (to allow many machines to share a common rotating shaft)
SPI = Stitches Per Inch (stitch length)
SPM = Stitches Per Minute (speed)
Most of the data is compiled directly from Singer documentation, service manuals, etc. I've noted where successive versions of a manual showed conflicting data. I am still compiling more details as I find them and if anyone has details of missing machines and could scan the manual's 'description' page, I'd be delighted to continue expanding the list.
The dates are not always reliable and are presented solely as a guide. Some discrepancies occur because the production and availability of machines differed between USA and UK factories, which didn't necessarily follow the same marketing plans.
